Sea Eagles look to 'kick start' season against Eels

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will be looking to 'kick start' its season at Blacktown tonight in round three of the NSWRL Jersey Flegg Cup.

The Sea Eagles tackle the Parramatta Eels under lights at HE Laybutt Sporting Complex from 6pm after the match was shifted to Friday night due to the expected heat conditions forecasted on Saturday afternoon.

Manly got into the match on the back of a 34-20 loss to Melbourne at AAMI Park last week following a 36-24 loss to the Bulldogs in round one.

The Eels have also lost both of their matches, going down to Canberra 20-14 in round one and 34-14 to Cronulla last weekend.

"After two good matches and two good first halves, our focus this week is to simply compete for the entire game,'' said Manly Coach Adam McEwen.

"We've worked hard at training in a couple of areas that we have identified that we needed to work on.

"The boys are really looking forward to this match to kickstart our season."

The round three clash kicks off at 6pm before the NSW Cup match at 7.30pm.
