NSW Cup Preview vs Bulldogs

Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles will be out to record a much-needed win against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Round 22 of the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup on Sunday.

The Bulldogs sit in third place on 28 points with Blacktown Workers on the bottom of the ladder on 8 points, five behind the 11th placed Western Suburbs Magpies with three rounds remaining.

The Sea Eagles have lost their past seven games and have won just two of their 19 games this season.

Blacktown’s remaining matches are against teams in finals contention in the Bulldogs (third), Newtown (first) and Canberra (sixth). The top five teams make the finals.

The Magpies face Canberra (sixth), North Sydney Bears (fourth) and St George-Illawarra Dragons (eighth) in their run home.

Blacktown Workers fell to the Parramatta Eels 30-12 at HE Laybutt Field last Sunday with halfback Ben Stevanovic scoring all 12 points thanks to two converted tries. Their efforts were made harder too after winger Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega was sent off.
