Sea Eagles 2022 NRL Fantasy guide

Manly's Turbo-charged surge from wooden spoon candidates to top-four finishers was one of the stories of 2021, with fullback Tom Trbojevic producing some scarcely believable Fantasy form to start 2022 as a million-dollar player.

Big Guns

Trbojevic will set you back a cool one million bucks – exactly – after producing some frankly ridiculous attacking numbers in 2021.

Benefitting from the rule changes in a big way, Turbo strung together some monumental attacking performances and starts 2022 as only the other player besides Nathan Cleary to crack the million-dollar mark.

Daly Cherry-Evans is the one other big gun on the Manly roster to consider; priced at $822k he is the most reliable scorer in the HLF position behind Cleary even if he will lose a few points from the rebalance to kick-metre scoring this year.

Rule changes: Kick metres scoring change

Bargain Hunter

Manly's established players all look to be pretty priced-in in Fantasy terms. If Dylan Walker ($423k, average 52 minutes) or Karl Lawton ($400k, average 42 minutes) ends up with a bigger-minute role they could offer some value but the bargains really are elsewhere.

Cheapies

Luckless journeyman Andrew Davey ($240k) looked like being a breakout star in both NRL and Fantasy in his first few minutes on field last year until an unfortunate ACL injury ended his season in round one. He's been leapfrogged now by Josh Schuster and Haumole Olakau'atu but if he ends up back in the starting side he'll be one to grab for sure.

Be Wary

It is almost mathematically impossible for any of Manly's back three to match, let alone improve on, their try-scoring feats of last year. Turbo almost has to come down in price while Garrick ($668k) set all-time point-scoring records and is Manly's third-priciest player. Saab ($369k) looks cheap but that priced is already based on him scoring 23 tries in 24 games and his base stats are terrible.

Rule changes: Offloads and tackle breaks
