Hoops are Back: Sea Eagles unveil 2022 jerseys

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, together with Official Apparel Partner Dynasty Sport, have today unveiled initial Season 2022 apparel range items, including new home and away playing jerseys featuring the return of the traditional ‘hoops’ design.

Not only has the Club listened and actioned the calls from Members and fans to return to the traditional designs, but in a sign of how tight the Manly family is, all sponsors on the home and away jerseys, including new Major Partner PointsBet, have given up their own brand colours to feature their logos in all white on the maroon home jerseys and in all maroon on the white away jerseys.

To have our top tier Corporate Partners agree to adopt our colours on the home and away jerseys is a first for our Club and shows how aligned we are in delivering what we are hearing our Members and fans want.

Luke Tucker Sea Eagles Chief Commercial Officer

“We’ll have a bit of fun throughout the season with some really exciting special jerseys that we know our Members and fans will also love and where our sponsors will get to feature their logos in their normal brand colours, but we felt it was important to honour the traditional designs of the new home and away jerseys with all logos in our Club colours.”

New Major Partner PointsBet will feature prominently across both the main front and the lower back (below the number) of the home and away jerseys, whilst Premier Partner Shaw and Partners Financial Services continue on both the sleeves and the sternum; and Senior Partner TripADeal returns to the top back of the jerseys (above the number).

Home Jersey

The Club's focus for the home jersey was to bring back the tradition of the 'hoops' - a key feature of our jerseys during 1968-75 and 1985-92 periods, whilst also appearing several times since these eras. Elements of the hoops design featured in each of our 1972, 1973, 1987, 2008 and 2011 Premiership winning jerseys.

Away Jersey

Similar to the home jersey, the Club has taken inspiration from the 1976-84 white jersey with maroon hoops. The design aligns with our 1976 and 1978 Premiership winning jerseys and has a strong connection with our brand.

It's wonderful to see the return of the traditional jerseys that represent so much history and success of our great Club over so many years.

Ecotek fabric

Another first for Season 2022 is Dynasty Sport’s new Ecotek fabric range, made from ethically sourced, recycled plastic bottles, significantly assisting with plastic waste reduction.

Dynasty is the first NRL apparel supplier to incorporate the recycled fabric across on-field, training and replica retail ranges.

Through our product research and development program, along with the aligned values of our supply chain partners, we’re extremely proud to release the Dynasty Sport Ecotek range of fabrics to the Australasian sports market.

Tyler Rakich Dynasty Sport Director

“By tackling the global issue of single use plastics polluting the planet, together with the Sea Eagles, we hope to play a small, but ongoing role in providing a second life for single use plastics.”

New woven silicone Sea Eagles and NRL Telstra Premiership logo badges will also feature on the replica retail jerseys. Another new and innovative addition to the 2022 apparel range from the Dynasty Sport team.
