Sea Eagles 2022 Draw analysis

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will host several blockbuster home games at 4 Pines Park next season following the release today of the 2022 NRL Telstra Premiership draw.

The Sea Eagles will play 10 home games at 4 Pines Park with the first home fixture against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in round three on Sunday, March 27, at 6.15pm.

Manly will open their season in an away game against premiers Penrith Panthers on Thursday, March 10, before playing the Sydney Roosters at Central Coast Stadium in round two.

The opening two away games will allow further time for the new playing surface to take hold at 4 Pines Park.

Here are some of the key points of the Sea Eagles draw:

• The home games at 4 Pines Park are against Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (Rd 3), Gold Coast Titans (Rd 6), Wests Tigers (Rd 9), NZ Warriors (Rd 13), Nth Qld Cowboys (Rd 15), Melbourne Storm (Rd 16), Newcastle Knights (Rd 18), Sydney Roosters (Rd 20), Parramatta Eels (Rd 21), Cronulla Sharks (Rd 23).
• Manly play each of the following teams once: Panthers, Broncos, Warriors, Cowboys, Rabbitohs, Dragons.
• The Sea Eagles play the following teams twice: Bulldogs, Eels, Knights, Raiders, Roosters, Sharks, Storm, Tigers, Titans.
• The Sea Eagles will take two home games on the road in 2022, playing matches in Mudgee and Brisbane.
• The round four match at Mudgee sees the Sea Eagles host the Canberra Raiders at Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium on Saturday, April 2, at 5.30pm.
• The Sea Eagles will be the home team for the annual Magic Round clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Friday, May 13, at 8.05pm.
• The Sea Eagles play the Gold Coast Titans at 4 Pines Park on Easter Saturday, April 16, at 5.30pm.
• Manly will play the Cronulla Sharks away on Thursday, April 21 at 7.55pm, in the first game in ANZAC Round.
• Manly will receive valuable free-to-air-exposure for its major corporate partners with 12 games being shown on Channel Nine. All of the Sea Eagles matches will again be shown live on Fox League.
