Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Wheelchair rugby league team has progressed to this Sunday's NSW Plate Grand Final at Menai.

The Sea Eagles tackle Newcastle Knights in the Tier 2 season decider at Menai Indoor Sports Centre at 3.30pm after finishing the regular season as Minor Premiers. 

The Manly team features a number of promising junior participants including Joey Abboud (City Origin), Isaac Jago (NSWWRL Development) and Cody Jeffs (NSWWRL Development), who achieved representative honours after standout performances.

The team features a number of players who have previously won premierships with rival clubs, and as such, is confident coming into this weekend’s grand final.

The Sea Eagles team is led by veteran players Carmelo Raspanti and Ralph Hasna, who also achieved City Origin selection this season.

Manly Coach Brett Henman (Australia Wheelaroos) has done an exceptional job of developing the young talent within the team.

The Sea Eagles team comprises of Cody Jeffs, Tex Jeffs, Joey Abboud, Ralph Hasna, Jared Serwa, Isaac Jago, and Carmelo Raspanti.

"I'd like to thank Manly for their support of Wheelchair Rugby League and we look forward to developing more opportunities in the Manly Warringah district to deliver rugby league to a wider range of participants,'' said Ben Cheeseman, NRL Wheelchair Participation Program Co-ordinator.

Rd 1 d Newcastle 22-12, Rd 3 d Parramatta 28-12, Rd 4 d Penrith 20-16, Rd 5 d Cronulla 30-26, Rd 6 lost 30-12 to Newcastle, Rd 8 d Parramatta 26-20, Rd 9 drew 12-all with Penrith; Semi-Final: d Parramatta 24-16.
