Manly Warringah Sea Eagles today launched the Sea Eagles Foundation, an exciting initiative which provides the opportunity for individuals and corporations alike to make donations in support of the Club and its key projects.
The Club has partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation Limited (ASF) which was established in 1986 with the sole purpose of generating funding for the development of sport. The ASF is governed by the Australian Sports Commission Act 1989 which enables it to offer tax deductions for donations of $2 or more.
The Sea Eagles Foundation is anchored in three core pillars - Wellbeing, Elite Development, and Heritage – and focuses on key areas such as:
- Delivery of community engagement and well-being initiatives.
- Driving optimal on-field success through the management of pre-eminent pathways and high performance programs.
- Preserving and celebrating our Sea Eagles history, traditions and culture.
Manly Coach Des Hasler said the Sea Eagles Foundation can greatly assist in further developing the Club’s Elite Pathways program and the high performance unit responsible for preparing the players for optimal performance every week.
We already believe we are one of the best when it comes to managing high performance units, but we need to continue to grow and improve and we believe the Sea Eagles Foundation will play an important role in allowing us to do so
