Sea Eagles partner with Dee Why RSL

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have established a new partnership with Dee Why RSL that will see the two Northern Beaches based organisations working together to design a special ANZAC jersey for season 2020.

Dee Why RSL is currently undergoing the largest redevelopment project in the Club’s 70 year history, including a new state of the art sports bar, to be known as Battery House, that is set to open in March 2020, coinciding with NRL season kick-off.

As an official venue of the Sea Eagles, Battery House will host a number of Sea Eagles events throughout the season, including appearances from current and past players.

Early next year, Dee Why RSL will also be launching a new logo that will be featured on the main front of the special ANZAC jerseys to be worn by the Sea Eagles against the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks for the opening game of NRL ANZAC Round 2020 on Thursday 23 April at Jubilee Stadium.

The special ANZAC jerseys will be unveiled in the lead up to ANZAC Round and will be available for Members and fans to purchase in adults and kids sizing.

There will also be an online auction of jerseys following the ANZAC Round game where proceeds will go to the Veterans Centre Sydney Northern Beaches.

To celebrate the new partnership, Sea Eagles players, coaches, staff and their families spent the afternoon at Dee Why RSL for a family Christmas party  including ten pin bowling, laser tag, arcade games and presents for the kids.

“There has always been a great relationship between Dee Why RSL and the Sea Eagles over the years and it is great to formalise this new partnership together,” said Sea Eagles CEO, Mr Stephen Humphreys.

“Both Dee Why RSL and the Sea Eagles are important pillars within our local community, so it makes sense for us to be working together, especially with a strong focus on ANZAC Round.”

Dee Why RSL President, Mr Graeme Liddell, spent some time with the Sea Eagles at the family Christmas party.

“We are delighted to have all the Sea Eagles players, coaches and staff families here celebrating the festive season at Dee Why RSL and we are looking forward to hosting everyone along with the Members of both organisations here throughout season 2020,’’ Mr Liddell said.

“I’ve had a sneak peek at the design of the special ANZAC Round jerseys and I’m sure they will be very well received as a fantastic way of showing our respect and support of our ANZACs.”
