Sea Eagles sign Ben Trbojevic to new NRL deal

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles has secured one of its most exciting young juniors for the next two years in Ben Trbojevic.

A centre/back-rower, Trbojevic has come through the Sea Eagles’ Harold Matthews and SG Ball junior representative teams and has played in the Jersey Flegg competition this season.

A product of the Mona Vale Raiders Club, the 18-year-old Trbojevic has also represented the NSW U16s and U18s teams.

Sea Eagles Coach Des Hasler said he was looking forward to working more with Ben, the younger brother of Jake and Tom Trbojevic, as part of the NRL squad.

“Ben is a very talented young player who has done well coming through our junior ranks,’’ Hasler said.

“There is no doubt he has plenty of ability and it’s now a matter of further developing his game and bringing him through slowly as he steps up to the next level.”

Sea Eagles CEO Stephen Humphreys said it is great to see players from the Club’s Pathways program develop and progress through to the senior ranks.

“Having Ben join our senior squad next season with his two brothers, Tom and Jake, is fantastic for Ben, our team and our Club,” Humphreys said.
