Alice's special time with the Sea Eagles

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have received a letter of thanks from the family of 90-year-old Alice Dugan.

A passionate Sea Eagles Member who sits in the Jane Try Stand at home games at Lottoland, Alice was recognised for her support after being invited to watch the NRL team train the day before last Sunday’s win over the Parramatta Eels.

Here is a letter the Club received from Danielle Hope, Alice’s grand daughter.

This Nan loves her Sea Eagles

“Nan is 90 years young and has been a season ticket holder for over 50 years ever since she moved to Sydney.

"This one eyed Manly fan was lucky enough to be invited to the team’s final training run at Lottoland.

“Everyone at Manly from the players and staff were all so friendly, down to earth and welcoming even when Nan had a few hot tips on coaching - they all had a great laugh.

"There were plenty of photos and beautiful memories were made that will be always kept close to her heart.

"Thank you to Christine Burns (pictured), her football partner in crime who picks Nan up and takes her to each home game.

"We also like to thank Brett Stewart for visiting her in her seats on game day. Nan was over the moon about the time she spent with one of her favourite players.”
