Sea Eagles move to second place on SG Ball ladder

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles recorded a 36-12 win over the Central Coast Roosters on Saturday to move to second place on the SG Ball ladder.

A tight first half saw the Sea Eagles lead 14-12 at the break in the SG Ball match at Lottoland before Manly clicked into gear in the second half in the seven tries to two victory.

Five-eighth and captain Joshua Schuster scored a double for Manly while full-back Kaeo Weekes, half-back Jamie Lawler, winger Daniel Ala, forward James Uesele, and second-rower Siua Fotu also crossed for four pointers.

“Josh managed the game really well and his leadership with prop Alex Tuitavake was first class,’’ said Coach Brett Fulton.

“Hooker Jack Birt and lock Keegan Turner had strong games in a good team performance.”

Manly now play South Sydney (14th) at HE Laybutt Field, Blacktown, on Saturday, April 6, at 11.30am in the final round of the competition before the finals.
