Sea Eagles running with JD

Leading international sneaker and sports fashion retailer JD has signed on as a Senior Partner with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

JD will appear on the animated LED and static signage for all Sea Eagles home games at Lottoland in 2019, with a focus on promoting their Northern Beaches store at Westfield Warringah Mall.

JD will also be the Official Match Day Partner for the Sea Eagles ‘home’ game against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium as part of this year’s inaugural NRL Magic Round on May 10th.

Sea Eagles members will be the big winners in the new partnership, with JD to offer exclusive offers throughout the year via the weekly Inside Swoop member emails.

Opening their first stores in April of 2017, JD has grown to 15 locations across Australia and has established a dominant presence online in their first two years in Australia.

JD is known as the ‘King of Trainers’ given their huge range and extensive amount of exclusives across footwear and apparel from the best international brands.

JD will continue their expansion throughout 2019, bringing the best launches and new styles to the Australian market and Head of JD Australia, Hilton Seskin, is thrilled with the new partnership.

“We’re really excited about the opportunity to partner with Manly for the 2019 season. The Sea Eagles have a fantastic following and we know that their extremely passionate Northern Beaches fan base have a lot in common with the JD brand.”

“We’ve been open in Westfield Warringah Mall for just under a year now, so it seemed like the perfect time to partner with a Rugby League club that aligned with our values and positioning as a retailer.”

Sea Eagles players Joel Thompson, Api Koroisau and Lachlan Croker visited the JD store at Westfield Warringah Mall to help launch the partnership.

“I was already a big JD fan so the fact that they’ve chosen to partner with us is very exciting,” said Koroisau.

“I know a number of the boys visit their stores regularly so it really feels like the perfect partnership.”
