2018 Member of the Year

After being named our Member of the Month for May, Lola Case was announced as our 2018 Member of the Year. She was presented with the Member of the Year shield, a commemorative signed jersey and a $500 cheque courtesy of Freshwater Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank, on-field at our Member Appreciation Round last Saturday.

I am very proud to be member of the year... I am so happy

Lola Case 2018 Member of the Year

"I did not expect it, it was such a shock, I'm still in shock!"

Originally from the country town of Jugiong, she used to go on family holidays to Manly; so when the Sea Eagles entered the competition in 1947, Lola and her father inevitably became supporters of the club. In 1968, Lola moved to the Northern Beaches and has been attending games ever since. Lola never misses a home game and also used go to all of the away games - travelling to New Zealand, Townsville, Brisbane and Melbourne to cheer on the team.

Lola loves being a member and watching the action from her seat in the Jane Try stand with her son David. In previous seasons she has attended with her 4 children and late husband.

I love the eagles and love coming to every game, it's my life

Lola Case 2018 Member of the Year

Lola has loved being involved in the club for many years, and has made some great friends because of it.

"Since 1987 I have had 7 footballers come and live with us from the country. I loved having the boys with us. Some of their friends would come over too if they knew a baked dinner was on. They still keep in touch and visit me."

"I have many great memories; the 1987 grand final was special. I always look forward to my cuddles from Daly Cherry-Evans after each Manly game."

"Cherry has always been special to me, along with all the other boys"

I would like to sincerely thank the Sea Eagles membership team and all associates, as well as Freshwater Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank for this honour

Lola Case 2018 Member of the Year

The Manly Sea Eagles would like to congratulate Lola on becoming our well-deserved Member of the Year for 2018, and thank her for her continuous support and passion towards the club.
