Tanya's Match Day Experience

Passionate Sea Eagles Member Tanya Preston was lucky enough to be randomly selected for our Match Day Media Experience at Lottoland last Thursday night.

Tanya was randomly selected from our Member database to participate in this 'Member Exclusive' opportunity against the North Queensland Cowboys.

Here is the story in her own words.

MY MATCH DAY EXPERIENCE

I was thrilled to combine my love for the Sea Eagles with my commitment to working with the Northern Beaches community at The Burdekin Association for this Round 13 match against the Cowboys as part of Community Services Night.

The delight on the faces of the kids from Royal Far West and Stewart House as they walked the lap of honour at half-time with the NSW and Rural Fire Brigade, NSW Police, PCYC, SES and a range of other local services was priceless. I sat in the Sea Eagles Community Bay next to a bunch of kids that cheered and smiled all night, especially when Igor and Ellie came by for high fives and photo opportunities.

Well done to the members and fans who braved the first cold night at Lottoland this season to support our team and the people that work tirelessly for our community to make it the best place to live and work.

Although it was not the result we had hoped for, I support my team at all home games and most away games during the season, with Brisbane and Melbourne highlights so far. We always check in with the press conference after each game wherever we are to catch up on key moments or decisions in the game.

I was delighted to be given the opportunity to attend the press conferences for both teams and have even more respect for our coach and captain, Trent and Daly, after the experience. Not many of us could front up and answer any question asked directly after the game when you are so obviously disappointed.

Thanks so much to the Manly Media and Membership teams for this wonderful experience, you were all very welcoming. A special shout out to Kellie Pethybridge who did an amazing job pulling together the Community Services Night so we could all celebrate our Community Heroes.

As a member of this great club, I am so impressed with the new initiatives this year from the increased social media to the improved game day experience and more opportunities for club members like the one I had tonight.

Tanya – Manly Member.
