Sea Eagles Member Karl Sice enjoyed a Match Day day experience of a different kind at Lottoland on Sunday.
Karl was randomly selected from our Member database to participate in a ‘Member Exclusive’ opportunity to be a part of our match day and to write about his experience.
Here is Karl’s report.
Despite the post summer record heat rolling in at the first home game for the 2018 season, the game was even hotter!
Nothing lifts the spirits than 10,500 or so passionate Sea Eagles fans singing, screaming and shouting support for their mighty team and today didn’t let anyone down.
The energy, momentum and performance was truly a sight to behold and being a Premium GA Member gave me a unique near sideline experience that can’t be matched.
I felt connected with the players because of the proximity of the seating and it really made the day exceptional. And seeing and feeling every single play was incredible.
Post-match, I was lucky enough to be invited into the media conference alongside the Sydney sporting media where Captain Daly Cherry-Evans and Coach Trent Barrett were asked questions by the journos.
Nothing made me prouder than to see very few negative remarks and many observations about the high performance that was on display.
All commented on Trent’s brilliant and calculated strategy given the challenging conditions weather wise.
It truly felt like a champion team and I left feeling there is plenty to look forward to in 2018.
Thanks to the Sea Eagles Club for giving me this amazing match day experience…it will remain a happy memory for a long time to come.
