The Forestville Ferrets were just one of the many Manly JRL Clubs to take part in a promotional photo shoot with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
Here is a thank you letter from Carly Tracey to Manly Junior Sea Eagles Manager, Kristie Fulton, about their experience on Wednesday, January 10.
‘I really can’t thank you Kristie enough for organising this morning. I know of 2 very happy young Ferrets right now - they had such an awesome time and begged me to let them stay for the post-photo training session which they both watched very intently…..especially the contact training.
'After the team had finished, the players all made a point of saying hello to the boys which absolutely made their day'.

Please pass on my sincerest of thanks to all the players and staff for making these kids feel so special. They were all so welcoming and open with the kids, I wish we saw more of this reported on in the media rather than all the negative stories.
When we were walking up to the grassed area, one of the Christian Bros kids asked a player if he could have one of his boots. He said he was really sorry but as they were doing a beach session he didn’t have them with him - the kid then asked if he could have his (half-finished) Powerade bottle! The player happily obliged and the child could not stop smiling for the rest of the time he was there.
Watching the looks on all the kids’ faces when the team cheered for each Club in the individual photos was priceless. It’s times such as today that these kids will remember for a long time to come and keeps them wanting to play'.
