New Manly recruit Lachlan Croker has already won over some excited young fans from the Belrose Eagles Junior Rugby League Club.

Croker joined talented centre Brian Kelly on Thursday afternoon to support one of the Manly District junior rugby league clubs in the Belrose Eagles, who were promoting free junior registration for any new player who joins their club in the 2018 season.

“It was my first meet and greet with local footy kids as a Manly player,’’ Croker said.

“I loved the opportunity to meet some of the local boys and girls. It was a great experience to meet the kids”.

Junior Sea Eagles Manager Kristie Fulton plans to strengthen ties with the Manly junior clubs next season and have greater engagement with young players and volunteers.

“We have some exciting partnership initiatives planned for 2018 which will see the Sea Eagles and our NRL players more closely aligned with junior clubs in the Manly Warringah district,’’ Kristie said.

“The Sea Eagles are keen to support the efforts of the clubs to help grow rugby league on the Northern Beaches as there is so much potential.

“With the junior league’s focus on fun and playing with mates, it’s a great opportunity for girls and boys to become involved in our great game. The Sea Eagles are happy to do what we can to help”.
