Manly Warringah Sea Eagles recorded a 34-18 victory over Canberra Raiders at Lottoland today in round 13 of the Holden Cup competition.

The Raiders opened the scoring in the fourth minute when winger Mikaele Ravalawa hit a hole to score out wide. The try was converted by centre Andre Niko for a 6-0 lead.

The visitors took a 10-0 lead when a grubber kick from Lachlan Cooper saw second-rower Jacob Field score in the 14th minute.

Manly forward Taniela Paseka scored his first try for the Sea Eagles since transferring from the Wests Tigers.  Winger Jade Anderson converted for a 10-6 scoreline.

A few minutes later, Manly five-eighth Tom Wright took the line on to score out wide for a 10-all scoreline after 25 minutes.

Wright then took the line on and stepped his way past a few defenders to score his second try. Winger Jade Anderson converted the try to give Manly a 16-10 lead after 32 minutes.

The Raiders kicked a penalty goal after the half-time siren to trail Manly 16-12 at the break.

Second Half

Manly extended the lead to 20-12 when second-Rower Josh Martin scored before Paseka scored his second try in the 62nd minute. Anderson converted for a 26-12 lead.

The Sea Eagles went to a 30-12 lead when Anderson scored before the Raiders hit back minutes later with a converted try for a 30-18 lead.

Anderson secured victory for the Sea Eagles with a try inside the final minute for a 34-18 scoreline.

The win keeps Manly in eighth place with the Raiders still in ninth position.
