Curtis Sironen named in City team

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles back-rower Curtis Sironen will represent City Origin against Country Origin in Mudgee this Sunday.

It will be Sironen’s fourth City jersey and a fine reward for the hard working forward who has found a home at the Sea Eagles this season after being unwanted by the Wests Tigers.

Sironen had re-signed with the Tigers in June last year before the club agreed to release him to Manly from the final two years of his contract.

The 23-year-old came to the Sea Eagles determined to re-establish himself as a quality back-rower and he has certainly proven that at Manly with some strong performances in his nine games this season.

Sironen previously represented City Origin in 2013, 2015, and 2016.
