Nines bound...Dylan Walker makes a run at training.

Exciting centre Dylan Walker has been added to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles squad for the NRL Downer Auckland Nines tournament at Eden Park this weekend.

Walker replaces the injured Matthew Wright, who broke a bone in his left hand at training last week and will be out for four weeks. Wright will be fit for the start of the premiership against Parramatta Eels at Brookvale Oval on Sunday, March 5.

It will be Walker’s first appearance representing the Sea Eagles at the Nines tournament and his elusive skills and speed will be a major asset to Coach Trent Barrett’s side.

Manly take on St George-Illawarra Dragons, Parramatta Eels, and the NZ Warriors, in the Piha Pool.

Prop Brenton Lawrence will captain a Sea Eagles side that contains new recruits Jono Wright, Brian Kelly, Akuila Uate, Cameron Cullen, Shaun Lane, Jarrad Kennedy, Curtis Sironen, and Lloyd Perrett.

The Sea Eagles reached the quarter-finals last year to achieve the club’s best result in the three-year history of the tournament.
