Manly prop Martin Taupau says he was just doing his job of ‘tackling hard’ when penalised for a late hit that led to Parramatta’s win over the Sea Eagles last Friday night.

“The decision was made at the time. I guess people say it was a harsh call but overall there was a lot of drop balls and penalties against us,’’ Taupau said today.

“We are not writing our season off at the moment. We have to bring our A game on Thursday night. The Bulldogs are one of the benchmark teams.”
