Re-live the match highlights as the Sea Eagles opened their 2016 Auckland Nines campaign with a 11-8 win over the Brisbane Broncos.

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles defeated the Brisbane Broncos 11-8 in their opening game of the NRL Auckland Nines tournament at Eden Park today.

The match marked the first game for new Sea Eagles Coach Trent Barrett.

The Broncos opened the scoring with a blindside try to Tom Opacic for a 4-0 lead. The Sea Eagles had a chance to score in the fifth minute but winger Fabian Goodall went into touch. The score remained 4-0 at half-time.

2nd Half

The Sea Eagles took a 5-4 lead in the ninth minute when Tom Trbojevic found open space to send an inside ball inside for his brother and captain Jake Trbojevic to score under the posts for a super try (5 points). Tom converted the try for a 7-4 lead.

The Broncos regained the lead when Opacic dived over for his second try in the 11th minute for an 8-7 scoreline.

In the dying stages of the match a kick from Nathan Green was latched onto from former Broncos player Matt Parcell who scored to haunt his old side.
