Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have today released Jesse Sene-Lefao from the final year of his playing contract. The second row/prop was contracted with the Sea Eagles until the end of the 2016 season.

The Club has recruited several experienced forwards which has strengthened the depth and versatility of the squad. As a result it became clear that Jesse would receive reduced opportunity at NRL level with the Sea Eagles.

Jesse made his debut with the Sea Eagles against the Brisbane Broncos in round 1 of the 2013 season and went on to play 38 NRL matches for the Club as well as three representative matches for Samoa.

CEO Joe Kelly wished Jesse all the best for his future.

“While the Club is disappointed to lose Jesse, it’s important that he is given every opportunity to fulfil his potential with another professional rugby league team. He has been a solid clubman and ambassador for the Sea Eagles and we wish him all the best for his future in the game,” Kelly said.
