Tom Symonds proved to be a tireless worker for the Sea Eagles in season 2015.
In his third year at the Sea Eagles since his club debut in 2013, Symonds played 20 games to bring his tally to 59 matches in the maroon and white.
Of his 20 matches in 2015, Symonds started in the second-row in 12 games where he played the full 80 minutes.
His versatility saw him cover for injured five-eighth Kieran Foran. Symonds played the full game at five-eighth in the win over Newcastle at Brookvale Oval in round eight. He backed it up a week later by playing 53 minutes in the six jersey in the one point loss to Penrith at home.
Symonds punched out 80 minutes at lock against Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park in round eight and came off the interchange bench on five occasions.
The 26-year-old played 18 consecutive games before a knee injury saw him sorely missed for four rounds.
Symonds was rewarded for his fine season by playing in the Australian PM’s XIII’s win over PNG in Port Moresby on September 26.
His versatility and high work rate will prove an asset for the Sea Eagles in 2016 under new Coach Trent Barrett.
