Golden Eagle President Mark Bryant is encouraging all Sea Eagles Members and fans to join them for a special ‘Walk to Brookie’ on Sunday, August 23.
To co-incide with the inaugural ‘Golden Eagles Day’, for the NRL clash against Parramatta, more than 150 former Sea Eagles players will unite together for the ‘walk’ from the Manly Leagues Club to Brookvale Oval at 2.30pm.
“This is a walk that recognises our history, from our social home of the Manly Leagues Club to our spiritual home of Brookvale Oval, with players of all eras that have represented the Sea Eagles,’’ Bryant said.
“We love to see as many passionate Sea Eagles fans as possible dressed in the maroon and white to join us for the walk.
“Golden Eagles participating include Cliff Lyons, Danny Moore, Max Krillich, Alan Thompson, Bill Hamilton, Dave Hosking, John Bucknall, Ronny Gibbs, Steve Knight, Michael Robertson and Josh Perry among many others.”
The walk will be led by Kyocera Drummers and the Manly Sea Birds. Upon arriving at Brookvale Oval, the Golden Eagles will do a lap of honour around the ‘Fortress’ before forming a guard of honour for the NRL players
