Half-back Daly Cherry-Evans remains hopeful of taking the field against the Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday.

Cherry-Evans suffered a shoulder injury in the loss to the Nth Qld Cowboys last Monday night but completed the team’s training run in Auckland this morning.

Coach Geoff Toovey said Cherry-Evans would be assessed on the morning of the game before a final decision is made as to whether he plays.

The Sea Eagles play the Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium in Holden Cup, NSW Cup and NRL with all three matches being shown live on Fox Sports.
