The Sea Eagles host the Wests Tigers at the ‘Fortress’, Brookvale Oval in a Friday night blockbuster.  Both teams have had indifferent starts to the season and will see this game as a must win clash in their pursuit towards a top eight finish.

Coming off a bye and heavy loss to the Brisbane Broncos the week before, Manly Warringah will be desperate to bounce back and get off the bottom of the ladder.

The Wests Tigers have struggled through the bye rounds without origin stars Aaron Woods and Robbie Farah with only one win from five, however a strong performance against South Sydney last round will give the joint-venture club a boost in confidence.

One factor waging against the Wests Tigers is their terrible record at Brookvale Oval. Their last win was in 2003.

Look out for a big game from half-back Daly Cherry-Evans, who will be making his return to the ‘Fortress’ since signing his new deal with the club barring an injury free Origin outing.

Key Match Ups

Tom Trbojevic v Pat Richards:

It is a battle of the rookie Trbojevic up against the evergreen veteran in Richards, with 15 years between them. Trbojevic has emerged as one of the rising talents of the game with scintillating performances in NYC and admirable performances in his few NRL games. He comes up against a man who has done it all, and at 33, Richards is one of the form wingers in the game. Young Trbojevic will have to use every ounce of his athleticism to get the better of his experienced opponent.

Dunamis Lui v Martin Taupau:

Dunamis Lui has been known this season for his ‘don’t argue’ attitude and his aggression in attack and defence. He faces arguably his toughest challenge of season in ‘Kapow’ Taupau, who destroyed the South Sydney pack last week. His ferocious fend on Souths full-back Alex Johnston will be on the highlight reels for years to come.

Supporters can take advantage of the special $20* GA adult price for the match.

Family GA tickets have also been discounted to just $50*. Limited time and tickets are available for both these offers.
