The Golden Eagles recently caught up with Merv Gillmer who was part of the first ever Manly Warringah Sea Eagles side in 1947.

The former five-eigth spoke to Golden Eagles members Mark Bryant, Steve Menzies as well as Jamie Buhrer on some of the memories he has as a player.

Merv explained to the trio that he still loves to watch his beloved Manly Sea Eagles play and likes to get down to Brookvale Oval on a nice day.

Gillmer is a proud member of the Golden Eagles and a true legend of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
