It was another impressive season from Sea Eagles back-rower Justin Horo, who brought up 100 NRL games in round 26 against the Cowboys.

Horo made 23 appearances this season and was poised to join Peta Hiku and Josh Starling as the only members of the squad to play every game.

Suspension in round 18 would see Horo miss three matches for a dangerous throw on Tigers fullback Mitchell Moses. He returned to finish the year with four tries and averaged nines runs at 67 metres

Defensively, the second-rower averaged 22 tackles and again showed his worth with strong tackles and exact decision-making.

His combination with five-eighth and left edge associate Kieran Foran went to another level this season, together terrorising opposition defence salon with Steve Matai and Jorge Taufua.

Horo proved extremely versatile for Geoff Toovey this year. He played in the back-row, at lock and even filled in at hooker during Manly’s preliminary final against South Sydney.
