The heroes of the NRL and the Marvel Universe will interlink in Round 21 with five teams wearing an exclusive range of Super Hero themed jerseys by ISC. The ISC Marvel Super Hero jersey’s will launch on 15th July and will be available for fans to purchase from club stores, NRL and ISC sites and Rebel Sport.
We’ll see the Marvel Super Hero and NRL Sporting attributes of Power, Leadership, Instinct, Loyalty and Strategy align as the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles don Wolverine jerseys, St George Illawarra Dragons with Iron Man, Canberra Raiders as The Hulk, North Queensland Cowboys with Thor and the Sydney Roosters with Captain America.
The Sea Eagles special edition super hero jersey by ISC has been fashioned after the original MARVEL comic book character, Wolverine.
The Club has chosen to represent the Wolverine character in honour of one of the world’s most recognisable and celebrated actors of our time, Hugh Jackman. The proud Sea Eagles member has not only starred in multiple, highly successful films as the character but is also without question, one of the Club’s greatest supporters.
In the jersey, The Wolverine represents our players’ keen instinct, determination and ability to hunt down our rivals, symbiotic to our very own emblem Sea Eagle - the native bird of prey along the rugged Sydney coastline.
Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Commercial Director, Greg Butterworth, says the partnership ISC and Marvel is a fantastic opportunity to expose both the Sea Eagles and game of Rugby League to millions around the globe.
“The collaboration with ISC and Marvel was borne of a desire to grow our fan base with a fun and globally recognised icon in The Wolverine.” he said.
“The opportunity to expose and celebrate the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles on the international stage through Marvel’s huge, global fan network, which includes over six-million Facebook followers is something that doesn’t come around every day and we’re excited to be a part of it.”
