Brett Stewart is likely to miss Friday’s showdown against the Rabbitohs with a hamstring injury.

The fullback will meet with doctors this morning, which will reveal the extent of his injury sustained in last Saturday’s golden point loss to Melbourne.

Winger David Williams will return to the wing after missing his side’s season opener with a knee injury.

Fellow Winger Jorge Taufua and prop forward Jason king are expected to be sidelined for at least another week with shoulder injuries.

Meanwhile, Tom Symonds will push to be fit in time for the grand final rematch against the Roosters in round four. The second-rower has been nursing a back injury but is progressing nicely.

Promising young talent Michael Chee-Kam remains unavailable for selection and won’t be fit for at least a month after suffering an elbow injury at the Auckland Nines.
