Daikin’s National Sales & Marketing Manager, Dave Smith, expressed his delight over Daikin’s new partnership deal with the Sea Eagles for the next three seasons.
The deal will see the Daikin logo feature on the upper back of the Sea Eagles’ NRL jersey until the end of 2016. Smith conceded that the club’s winning culture played a major factor behind the agreement.
“For us, there were a lot of synergies that existed with the Sea Eagles,” He said.
“First of all, probably the most obvious, is how successful they’ve been, certainly over the last five years, and their high performance culture.
“We like to think that we are a high performance and premium brand as well, so that synergy certainly leant itself to that arrangement.
“We were very impressed with the sense of community the Sea Eagles have.”
With the NRL season fast approaching, Smith is itching for the Sea Eagles’ opening round against the Storm at Brookvale Oval in just over a month’s time.
Like many NRL enthusiasts, Smith still enjoys the traditional suburban footy grounds and said that Brookvale Oval was another motive behind the agreement.
“It’s great. It is one of the last few remaining true local grounds, and that was also part of the interest for Daikin with Manly-Warringah,” Smith said.
“We’re happy to be a part of the Sea Eagles, happy to be a part of the local community and Brookvale is a great oval, so I’m sure our customers and staff will be very happy to come along to a few of the games and we’re looking forward to the first one against Melbourne.”
