The Sea Eagles have named a strong squad to take on the Cronulla Sharks at Remondis Stadium this Friday night in the teams first hit out in 2014.

It’s the first opportunity for members and supporters to see Josh Starling in the maroon and white, while ex-Bronco Dunamis Lui, former Eel Cheyse Blair and young Wests Tigers recruit Manaia Rudolph will all feature.

There are only a few regulars missing from Coach Geoff Toovey’s squad. Jason King is continuing his recovery in order to be ready for round one of the season, while Jorge Taufua and Justin Horo are the others missing after picking up slight strains in training.

The Sharks will be without a number of key players in Paul Gallen, Luke Lewis, Anthony Tupou, Andrew Fifita, and Beau Ryan, however, the side does include star playmaker Todd Carney and the returning Eric Grothe Junior who lines up for the first time in Sharks colours.

The trial will be played in four quarters, the first of which gets underway at 7.30pm. The NYC trial match kicks off at 5.15pm, with gates to Remondis Stadium opening at 5.00pm.

Tickets to see the Sea Eagles in action for the first time in 2014 can be purchased at the gate and prices are as follows;
Adults - $15.00, Concession - $10.00, Junior - $7.50 and a family pass - $35.00. One adult plus one Junior - $20.00
