In December, Brooke and Chris O’Brien were given the most devastating news that a parent can possibly receive.

They were told their beautiful 17-month-old daughter, Ruby, didn’t have long with them.

Ruby was unfortunately diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumour known as Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumour (ATRT) and the outlook wasn’t positive…

However, upon seeking further advice there is still hope that the gorgeous Ruby can pull through.

This is why the Sea Eagles are asking you dig deep and help Ruby and the O’Brien family by donating or bidding on items in the ‘Rallying for Ruby’ auction.

The club has organised for one of their commemorative jerseys from the 2013 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander 'Close The Gap Round' (of which there were only around 40 made) to be signed by the players with co-captains Jamie Lyon and Jason King as well as Coach Geoff Toovey signing the main white section.

To bid on this jersey, as well as a number of other wonderful prizes, please go towww.myminiauction.com/rallyingforruby and bid generously.

For more updates on how Ruby is tracking, please follow Rallying for Ruby here.
