Geoff Toovey spoke to Sea Eagles TV ahead of the trip down to Melbourne to face the Storm at AAMI Park on Saturday afternoon. The focus for the Silvertails will be to cause an upset on the ladder leaders and the boss believes his side’s earlier victory against the Victorians will be a confidence booster for his team.

“They (the Storm) have a very good roster and are on top of the competition. We got some confidence out of the Round 2 victory at Brookvale but it will be a very difficult task down there in Melbourne.”

The coach also believes the game will be a great celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the Gallipoli landing.

“It’s a great celebration for Australia and New Zealand and to honour the people who sacrificed their lives during the war, the contest will definitely add to the occasion.”

Tooves also provided an injury update, which could see the return of Brett Stewart to fullback.

“There is still some doubt over Kieran, but we are confident that ‘Snake’ will play although we are still missing some key players through the side, but the players that take their place I’m sure will do a great job.”
