Tom Flannery’s passion for the Sea Eagles shone through the dark clouds at training today.

The 60-year-old was a special guest of the Sea Eagles after the Club received an email last Friday afternoon from his daughter, Wendy Olsen.

“My father has terminal brain cancer and his been following Manly for many years,’’ Wendy wrote.

“I know his wish and dream is to meet the players and I’m wanting to see if there is any way that you would be willing to help give that wish to my Dad as I know he would love it.

“I’m wanting to make his dreams and wishes come true as much as I can.”

The players were more than happy to greet the family and sign the jerseys, as well as pose for plenty of memorable photos.

During the meet and greet, Jackson Hastings presented his boots to Tom’s Grandson Jason as a gift he’d never forget.

The Manly Sea Eagles wish Tom and the family all of our support and best wishes for the future and are glad to have them as part of the ‘Sea Eagles family’.
