Apisai Koroisau and Akuila Uate will be the Sea Eagles’ primary representatives in the semi-finals of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup this weekend.

The pair have carried their superb 2017 form for Manly into Fiji’s exciting run in the World Cup, starring in the Bati’s last four wins.

Uate has been a revelation in the centres for the undefeated Fiji with Koroisau at his scheming best at hooker.

Fiji’s 4-2 win over the Kiwis in the quarter-finals in Wellington last Saturday was the second time in a week (the first being Tonga defeating New Zealand), that a second-tier nation has defeated a tier-one nation.

In the semi-finals, Australia and Fiji will meet at Suncorp Stadium this Friday night while Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium will play host to Tonga and England on Saturday.

Tom Trbojevic has been named on the extended bench (19) for the Australian Kangaroos.

The winners will then contest the 2017 World Cup final in Brisbane on Saturday, December 2.

The Sea Eagles have also been represented at the World Cup by Jake Trbojevic (Australia), Tom Trbojevic (Australia), Martin Taupau (Kiwis), Addin Fonua-Blake (Kiwis), Matthew Wright (Samoa), Frank Winterstein (Samoa), and Bilal Maarbani (Lebanon).
