Manly Warringah Sea Eagles welcome the news that the club has been cleared of any wrong doing following the investigation into match fixing by Strike Force Nuralda which commenced back in September 2016.

The club moved swiftly and brought in former NSW chief racing steward Ray Murrihy after allegations were made last year and he cleared the club of any governance issues.

Sea Eagles Chairman Scott Penn said: “It’s very positive news to hear that the club has finally been cleared of the unsubstantiated allegations. I’ve previously said that we were confident that the investigation would not reveal anything untoward,” Penn said.

“We thank our partners, members, and fans for their loyalty and support during what can only be described as a very frustrating time when there was no factual basis for the allegations. The good news is that the investigation is now behind us. We have a great 2018 home game draw, and we can now fully focus on preparing for an exciting 2018 season.”
