Exciting young Manly Warringah Sea Eagles winger Bilal Maarbani has tonight been named in the Lebanon squad for the Rugby League World Cup.

The 19-year-old has been rewarded for a superb season for the Sea Eagles in the Holden Cup competition, culminating in Maarbani starring on the wing in Manly’s Grand Final victory over Parramatta.

Maarbani scored seven tries in 14 matches for the Sea Eagles, including two doubles against the Melbourne Storm and the Wests Tigers.

He also kicked 13 goals when used as a part-time kicker.

Maarbani made 123 runs (average 8.8 per match) for 1061 metres (average 75.8 per game).
