Outstanding Sea Eagles hooker Api Koroisau says the ‘reset’ button has been pressed on the team's defence.

Following two horrid two losses in which Manly conceded 92 points in defence, the Sea Eagles dug deep to overcome an 18-10 half-time deficit at Lottoland last Sunday to beat the second-placed Sydney Roosters 36-18.

Koroisau said it was a matter of going back to the basics in defence in the lead up to the Roosters.

“We were defending quite well in the middle part of the season when we were winning. We dropped off at training and doing those little one per centers,’’ Koroisau said.

“Defence is an attitude thing. We hit the reset button last week and we won’t be dropping off again.

“We were not too worried about what happened (against the Roosters) at half-time. Everyone was really calm and focus. It didn’t felt like we were down at all.

“The boys showed a lot of resilience and the (win) will set up the back end of our season. We consider ourselves a top four team and those are the kind of games you have to win.”

Koroisau said the short term goal was to win the next four games to put the side in the best possible position for the finals, starting with a trip to Leichhardt Oval to tackle the Wests Tigers on Sunday.

“We really want to grab those 8 points on offer. I truly believe we can get them,’’ Koroisau added.
