Manly Warringah pass on their deepest condolences to the family of former Sea Eagles player Shayne Dunley following the death of his brother, Wayde.
Shayne (pictured) played 17 first grade games for the Northern Eagles (2001-02) and 70 matches for Manly Sea Eagles (2004-07).
The Dunley family are mourning the loss of Wayde, who passed away after falling from a cliff at Big Marley Beach at Bundeena last Saturday morning.
Police have stated the 28-year-old was climbing down the cliff to go fishing. He was flown to St George Hospital in a critical condition but later died.
Wayde was Wests Tigers NYC Player of the Year in 2008 and was added to the Club’s NRL squad in 2009 before joining East Campbelltown, where he helped the Eagles to two Sydney Shield Premierships in the space of three years between 2014 and 2016.
Wayde is survived by his wife Chelsea and young daughter Koa.
East Campbelltown will hold a benefit night on Friday, July 21 at Tabcorp Menangle Park, with proceeds from the night going straight to the Dunley family.
Manly have donated a signed 2017 NRL Sea Eagles jersey to auction off at the benefit night.
