Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are pleased to announce a new co-major partnership with URM Group for two years, extending URM’s association with the Club beyond 20 years.

URM Group is one of Australia’s largest privately owned waste and recycling companies employing over five hundred staff with a fleet of more than 300 vehicles.

Originally on the chest position of the Sea Eagles jersey, URM will now feature on the major sponsor position of the Club’s Home jersey for all 2017 and 2018 home games.

Sea Eagles Chairman Scott Penn said URM’s elevation to co-major partner is a great alliance between two strong local organisations.

“URM and the Sea Eagles are integral members of the Northern Beaches community, so it’s fitting that URM’s brand will adorn the front of our new Home jersey for the next two seasons,” Mr Penn said.

“They have been an incredibly loyal and supportive partner of the Sea Eagles since 1997. In 2016 we celebrated 20 years of partnership and we’re thrilled that this will continue into a third decade.’’

URM Managing Director Anthony Johnston was proud of his company’s successful association with the Sea Eagles.

“The corner stone to all success whether it be in business or in sport is persistence,’’ Mr Johnston said.

“It’s hard to imagine that we are now in our third decade of sponsorship of the Sea Eagles but it is a privilege to assume major placement on the jersey for 2017 and 2018.

“We look forward with enthusiasm to working with the dedicated men and women that comprise the Sea Eagles team both on and off the field, and we wish the team continued success.”

URM will share the Sea Eagles major sponsorship with a yet-to-be announced commercial partner, whose brand will feature on the major sponsor position of the Club’s Away jersey from 2017.

Today’s partnership announcement coincides with the release of the Sea Eagles new Home jersey for the 2017 season, which will carry the traditional hoops design first used by the Club in the early 1950s but synonymous with the successes of the 1970s, 1980s, and 2008 and 2011 Grand Final wins. The new Home jersey will be released to the retail market in November.

By pre-ordering now, supporters will be able to have their jersey delivered prior to Christmas.
