Hooker Matt Parcell has reflected on his first season in the toughest sporting arena, the NRL.

“I’ve really enjoyed it all, obviously the injuries haven’t helped, there’s been a couple of setbacks throughout the year but that’s all part of footy,” Parcell said.

“I’ve enjoyed the experience and tried to gain as much as I can from everyone especially Jamie Lyon who is leaving this year.”

An optimistic Parcell though believes the experience will only put him in good stead for next year.

“Everyone’s obviously disappointed with the results this year and how it’s turned out but you’ve got to look forward to next year and there will be a big pre-season.”
