Manly Warringah Sea Eagles recorded their second win of the Holden Cup competition with a 32-22 victory over the Warriors at Brookvale Oval today.

The Sea Eagles led 14-6 at half-time before fighting off a small Warriors comeback to pull away late in the game for a well-deserved victory.

Manly opened the scoring with a try to winger Luke Polselli after a good ball by full-back Tom Wright for a 4-0 lead. Hooker Treymaine Brown failed to convert the try.

It became 8-0 to the Sa Eagles when centre Harlan Collins crossed out wide after an overlap was created. Brown failed to convert the try.

The Warriors hit back with a try to captain and hooker Sheldon Pitama. Full-back Kane Telea converted the try for an 8-8 scoreline.

The Sa Eagles then took a 14-6 lead into half-time through a try to Tevita Funa. Five-eighth Nicho Hynes converted the try.

2nd Half

The Warriors then crashed over next to the posts for a try to Isaiah Papalii. Telea converted for a 14-12 scoreline.

Manly half-back Cade Cust stretched the lead to 18-12 with a try next to the posts. Hynes made no mistake to give the home side a 20-12 lead after 60 minutes.

The Warriors hit back with a try to Tyler Mohi for a 20-18 scoreline before two converted quick tries to talented Manly second-rower Billy Bainbridge extended the lead to 32-18 after 72 minutes. Hynes kicked both goals.

Papalii scored his second try when he crashed over near the posts for the 32-22 scoreline in the 78th minute.
