Manly Warringah Sea Eagles back-rower Jamie Buhrer says the team has taken plenty of confidence from its last start win heading into Saturday night’s clash against the NZ Warriors in Perth.

Buhrer turned in a superb performance and scored a memorable 90 metre try in the last start win over St George-Illawarra Dragons at Brookvale Oval.

He says it is important the team backs it up in their home game against the Warriors at nib Stadium, .Perth, if the Sea Eagles are to keep their finals hopes alive.

“We believe we are a semi-final calibre football team. The goal at Manly is always to make the top eight, and even a sterp further, the top four,’’ Buhrer said today.

“It doesn’t matter whether you are in a rebuild or not, that is always the goal. While we still have a mathematical chance, that’s what we will be striving for.

“The Warriors have a big following in Perth. They do love their footy and it is a trip I am looking forward to.”
