Today, April 30, has been a good day for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in our proud 70 year history.

Of the 10 matches played on this day, Manly have won 8. Our first ever win on April 30 came in round 4, 1949 ...a 17-7 win over Eastern Suburbs at Brookvale Oval. That day, winger Gordon Willoughby scored three tries.

This will be just the second time the Sea Eagles and the Cowboys have met on April 30. The last time was in round 8, 2011, when the Cowboys won 22-20 in Townsville. Jonathan Thurston scored a try and kicked three from four goals in the match.

Jamie Lyon, Steve Matai, and Daly Cherry-Evans are the only players from the match still playing for Manly.
