The Sea Eagles are calling on its supporters to attend a vital public meeting at Warringah Council next Tuesday, February 16.

Time: 6pm

Location: Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why.

In one of the most significant meetings in the proud 70 year history of the Sea Eagles, Warringah Council has listed on the meeting agenda the 2016 Licence for the use of Brookvale Oval by the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

Following the Club’s ‘Fight for Fortress Brookie’ campaign, the Sea Eagles have been informed that Warringah Council received in excess of 2,000 submissions in relation to their proposed casual hire arrangements to the Club for 2016.

The Sea Eagles are aware that less than 1% of these respondents support Warringah Council’s proposal that represents a 35% increase on 2015 hire fees to $60,000 per game.

Despite this unfair impost and the overwhelming level of public support, incredibly, council management are recommending that councillors accept and implement the increased charges.

Brookvale Oval has been the Sea Eagles home ground since 1947.

This is a serious issue and everyone has a part to play in keeping the Sea Eagles at ‘Fortress Brookie’.

Wear your team colours as the Club fights for the mighty maroon and white!
