Trent Barrett spoke to the media at the Sea Eagles 70th Year launch yesterday.
The new Sea Eagles coach is looking forward to the challenge ahead and is confident that the players will give their best for the 2016 season.
"I certainly won't ask anything more than their best, I know it's something that myself and the coaches will give them," Barrett said.
"We've got high expectations, I think we will finish where we deserve, if we work hard enough I certainly don't doubt the ability we have got in the side."
