Watch new Head Coach Trent Barrett’s very first interview dressed in the colours of the mighty Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

The Sea Eagles today launched its 70th Year Anniversary in spectacular fashion at the Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club.

It is 69 years to the day – November 4, 1946 – that the NSWRL granted the Sea Eagles entry to the 1947 first grade competition.

Barrett said it was a great honour to be the Sea Eagles Coach.

“This is a dream job for any rugby league coach,’’ Barrett said.

“To be the head coach of Manly, one of the most respected clubs in the league, is a huge thing for me and one I don’t take lightly.”

Watch the interview here and also hear from new Assistant Coach John Cartwright.
