Manly Warringah Coach Geoff Toovey has warned his players will get their pants ‘pulled down’ by the Sydney Roosters if they repeat last Sunday’s poor effort against Parramatta.

The Sea Eagles had the golden chance at Brookvale last Sunday to join St George-Illawarra Dragons on 26 points but turned in one of their worst performances of the season in the loss to the Eels.

The Dragons sit one win ahead of the Sea Eagles and face the two bottoms teams in Gold Coast and Wests Tigers in the next two rounds.

Manly Warringah face the first placed Roosters at Brookvale Oval this Friday night and the fifth placed Cronulla Sharks in the final round.

“With the season on the line, I thought we were very poor and we need to turn it around. If we play like that this week, then we will get our pants pulled down,’’ Toovey said.

“I was very disappointed last week with what we produced and the players were as well. We are looking for a big turnaround.

“If we won last week, I thought our destiny was in our own hands. Now we need a bit of luck. All we can do is win the next two games and hopefully the luck will come our way.

“We have definitely got it in us. We are a quality side. We are missing a few key players as well but that has evened out with Mitchell Pearce and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves being out (for the Roosters).  It will be a tight contest either way.

“They are a very consistent side and it is why they are on top of the comp. I have no doubt they will produce the same form last week against the Broncos. We will have to very good to beat them.”

Tomorrow night’s final home game of the season at Brookvale Oval marks the farewell of Toovey and departing players James Hasson, Justin Horo, Willie Mason, Tyson Andrews, Cheyse Blair, Michael Chee Kam, Jack Littlejohn, Dunamis Lui, David Williams, Ligi Sao and Kieran Foran.

The club will play a special video presentation of Toovey and the departing players on the big screen prior to the NRL game.
